This Morning favourite Gyles Brandreth, 76, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to wish the legendary actress a happy birthday.  In the sweet snap, the pair can be seen dressed to the nines as they beamed for the camera. 

In her most well-known role, she played both a doctor and a former resident of Nonnatus House. After being stabbed, her character was taken to a mental hospital that was supposed to treat her anxiety, but her illness continued to worsene rapidly. VINER: BRIAN VINER: In the Spanish-language film Society Of The Snow, an uplifting true tale involving a tragic plane crash and cannibalism can be considered encouraging. A Uruguayan air force plane Flight 571 bound for Chile in October 1972, carrying the Old Christians Club rugby team among its 40 passengers and five crews, crashed in the Andes. Almost half of those on board died as a result of their injury or within seconds. Others died later, but the 16 remaining survivors were rescued after only ten weeks.

In the 1968 hit film as the home of the down-on-his-luck inventor Caractacus Potts, portrayed by Hollywood legend Dick van Dyke, Cobstone Mill in Ibstone, Buckinghamshire. As the children eagerly leap and down on the mill's balcony, one of the film's most memorable scenes is when a banged-up motor is whisked to the house. Potts converts the old vehicle into a marvel flying machine during its brief stay in fame, later being purchased by English actress Hayley Mills, who restored it with husband Roy Boulting.

I got the uneasy feeling that a skeleton was under the patio terrace, and that all the tables were somehow connected to the murder. A vivid imagination is a curse.

Hayley Mills, a former child actor, has given some sage advice to other parents, albeit with the benefit of hindsight: don't neglect your children.
