The site in Grey Friars, where the monarch's remains were discovered (left and right), is part of a visitor center, but the remainder of the site, which includes adjacent buildings 1-7 Grey Friars, will be available later this month. Since 2017, the car park has been designated as a 'nationally important archaeological site with safeguards against unauthorised change.' Any of the adjacent buildings up for auction are Grade II listed. The extraordinary find of the skeleton was made in September 2012, more than 500 years since Richard's reign, before archaeologists announced in February 2013 that DNA results revealed it was indeed that of the 15th century emperor. The find has since been turned into a comedy-drama film titled The Lost King, starring Steve Coogan, Sally Hawkins, and Harry Lloyd (inset).

BRIAN VINER discusses The Lost King - a mother who helped uncovers king's remains in a parking lot

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 7, 2022
BRIAN VINER: Philippa lives in Edinburgh, where she works in a dreary sales role and is rejected for promotion. You are at the right level for you,' says her condescending boss. She looks as though the King is speaking directly to her when she and her son attend a Richard III revival. Richard (Harry Lloyd)'s stage version starts arriving in visions, a feature that may seem quaintly archaic, but director Stephen Frears makes it work. Philippa's implication is straightforward: she might be a middle-aged divorcee stuck in a miserable career, but she identifies with this 15th-century monarch as well as the fact that he does with her.

Three of the farms on this year's season of Farmer Wants a Wife have been displayed as rentals, not actual farms owned by the contestants. And Daily Mail Australia is now revealed that producers were so keen to find'stand-in' farms in country NSW that they called locals to use their land. Because many farmers' real estates were deemed unusable for use due to Covid's rules, Channel Seven reportedly went to a great deal to 'borrow' their ranches during filming.

On the dating show, two more stars from this year's season of Farmer Wants a Wife were found using other people's farms to woo their contestants. Farmers Will Simpson and Paige Marsh of Greenhill used stand-in locations while filming the Channel Seven series, according to Daily Mail Australia. Will was on the show as the owner of a farm in Berriwillock, north Victoria, but part of his journey was shot on a farm 1,000 kilometers away in New South Wales.

Richard III's hunt is a conflict

The Lost King, a film about Richard III's (portrayed by Harry Lloyd, pictured left) bones underneath a Leicester parking garage in 2012 (the former burial place is shown bottom right). Philippa Langley's film, which premiered in the United Kingdom yesterday, is based on the unforgettable and moving tale of Philippa Langley (played by Sally Hawkins, pictured top center), 60, a film-maker and amateur historian. In an interview with writer Stephen Coogan (pictured top right) and filmmaker Stephen Frears in an interview with the entertainment website Collider at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month, Langley is delighted with the film. In addition, Coogan and Pope said that the film was accurate and truthful. However, the academics and others interested say that some of the film have no connection to the truth, and that major portions of it contain such obviously deliberate lies that at least one of them has retained libel lawyers.

Paige Marsh, a Wife actress, says she didn't grow up on a farm

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 2, 2022
During an interview with farmer Paige Marsh, a Wife actress, discussed her remarkable journey to become a sheep and cattle farmer. The 27-year-old, who was joined by fellow farmers Ben Scowen, Harry Lloyd, and Will Simpson, told hosts Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington that she hadn't been farming the land since 2017, when she moved from Brisbane to Cassilis in central-west NSW. Though she said heading to the United States was the right decision she'd made, living so close made it difficult for her to meet the right guy.

PATRICK MARMION: Gary Barlow shines like a superstar in A Different Stage

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 2, 2022
PATRICK MARMION: The Duke of York's Theatre in the West End will not know what has been hit it until it is announced. It's normally home to middle-class chin-strokers, and it's now in the custody of a whooping, arm-waving, singalong crowd. Gary Barlow's touring solo tour, which tells the Take That star's life in songs and stories, has drawn them in. I first saw the performance in Frodsham, Cheshire, back in June. And though it has shed some of the intimacy and dynamism of its predecessor, it has performed well, as it was in front of a few people who watched their hometown hero grow up. It's similar to listening to a limited edition of Desert Island Discs. . . With snatches of his own music, the man himself was introduced. Barlow's most cherished gift is expected to be one of us. Standing on stage in a striped tracksuit, he seems to be the PE instructor you wish you had at school.
