Tim BALLARD's hit film about how TIM BALLARD saved children from sex slavery in America shocked America. Now, he reveals the true horror that inspired Sound of Freedom - and how he's haunted by his failure to find a two-year-old boy kidnapped a decade ago

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 8, 2023
I didn't want to spend my life in hell chasing teen sex traffickers, but hell is where you find them. In 2014, I stood outside an unassuming concrete building in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. There was no way to be prepared for the human misery that I encountered inside. Gardy Mardy, a two-year-old Haitian American boy, was abducted while looking for a missing two-year-old American boy. He had been snatched in broad daylight from a church parking lot and sold to sex traffickers. A few back alley turns in the burgeoning city center led me to the front door of a defunct building with 13-foot cement walls. The weather on the inside were heinous. Newborn babies are covered in piss and feces. The fetid air reeked of excrement. The children were fed meager bowls of mush, with bloated bellies. There was an outhouse in the yard and a threatening guard who had a whip on his shoulder. He was dubbed 'teacher' by the children.' At a livestock auction, a woman lined up the children like animals. 'Take your pick,' she said. 'They're $15,000 a piece.'
