Guy Rewenig (born 31 August 1947) is a Luxembourg author and novelist.
In 1985, he wrote his first novel in the Luxembourgish language, but poems and dramatic works had not existed in the 19th century.
He is credited with establishing the new Luxemburgish novel trend together with Roger Manderscheid.
Career as a writer
Rewenig's first film reviews appeared in the Luxemburger Wort in 1963. As did Als der Feigenbaum verdorrte, a collection of essays, his first play "Interview" appeared in 1970, as did a collection of essays by Der Spiegel. Muschkilusch began writing for children in 1973, and he continued to write for children. Kanner's story began in 1990. Guy Rewenig published Hannert den Atlantik, Luxembourg's first book, in 1985, opening the way for the writing of other works of fiction in the local language. Rewenig writes in German, Luxembourgish, and French. Jean Portante's translation of Roman Mass mat dräi Hären into French was La cathédrale en flammes. He has also published many satirical books defending Luxembourg's social and political inadvertencies, and has regularly contributed to Luxembourg newspapers and periodicals.
He was a founding member of the Association des travailleurs immigrés in 1974, and together with Roger Manderschied, he established the publishing house Ultimomondo, where his works now appear. He published Sibiresch Eisebunn under the pen name Tania Naskandy in 2010.
