Scott killed the child, according to a local district attorney's spokesperson, before he took his own life and recovered several knives at the scene. Scott III is the son of former Boston Red Sox player George Scott, who hit 271 home runs in 14 years (top right). The 8-year-old boy is the son of Lisa Hazard (center), who vanished in March of 2019. Scott was deemed a person of concern in her disappearance, according to a Bristol County DA spokesperson.

George Scott survived a frightening encounter with a deadly brown snake after finding it 'boiling' underneath a feed shed' and being struck twice by the reptile as he attempted a 'launch into space.' Mr Scott attributes his long pants and work boots to preventing the snake's fangs from injecting venom. It is not the first time his family has had brown snakes this year after one of the killer serpents bit and killed three beloved family dogs on the same day in early January.
