Gary Kelley Radunich (born February 2, 1950), also known as Gary Radnich, is a retired radio and television presenter in the San Francisco bay area.
He hosted The Gary Radnich Show, which aired on KNBR radio, and was the leading sports anchor on KRON television.
Early life
Bill and Evelyn Radunich were born and raised in San Jose, California, to Bill and Evelyn Radunich. He was an All-American Basketball player at Del Mar High School and Branham High.
He began attending Brigham Young University on a basketball scholarship, and then moved to UNLV after two years. Although in Las Vegas, he gained notoriety for his purple El Dorado Cadillac, dubbed "Raddy's Caddy").
Radnich began his television work at KVU in Henderson, Nevada. He worked at KTXL in Sacramento, California, and KMPH-TV in Fresno, California. Radnich served as the sports director at WBNS-TV in Columbus, Ohio, where he also called Ohio State Buckeyes football games from 1982 to 1985.
Radnich was the sports director at KRON-TV from 1985 to 2018. He served as a talk show host on KNBR radio from 1992 to 2019, hosting a three-hour show each weekday.
In 2010, Radnich was inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame. Associated Press has named him three times for the Best Television Sports cast in California.
