Frank Anthony Grillo (born June 8, 1965) is an American actor best known for his roles in films including Warrior (2011), The Grey (2012), End of Watch (2012), and Zero Dark Thirty (2012).
He appeared in The Purge: Anarchy (2014), his first leading role in the action thriller film The Purge: Anarchy (2014), starring Sergeant Leo Barnes, a role he reprised in The Purge: Election Year (2016).
In the Chinese action film Wolf Warrior 2 (2017), the highest-grossing non-Hollywood film of all time, he also stars Brock Rumlow / Crossbones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Big Daddy.

Early life
Grillo was born in New York City to a working-class Italian-American family of Calabrian origins. He was born in the Bronx and in Rockland County, New York. Grillo began wrestling at eight years old and began boxing at eighteen. He started practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 1991, where he has studied under Rickson Gracie and holds a brown belt. Grillo earned a bachelor's degree in finance and spent a year on Wall Street before being asked to produce a Miller Genuine Draft beer commercial. He said on the podcast The Fighter and the Kid that he claimed to have Italian citizenship.
Personal life
In 1991, he married Kathy, his first wife, but the couple divorced in 1998. They had one son together when they were born in 1997. On the set of Guiding Light, Grillo encountered fellow actress Wendy Moniz in 1996. The couple married on October 28, 2000, and divorced in 2020. They have two sons together, born in 2004 and 2008.

Career
Grillo began his acting career by appearing in commercials for companies like American Express and Sure deodorant. His first film appearance was in 1992's The Mambo Kings, and he went on to appear in the Minority Report (2002), April's Shower (2006), and both iMurders and New Line Cinema's Pride and Glory in 2008.
Grillo appeared in the 2010 horror film Mother's Day alongside Daniel Sohapi and the following year, he appeared in the 2011 film Warrior as MMA trainer Frank Campana. He appeared in The Grey and As Sarge in End of Watch with Jake Gyllenhaal in 2012, and then in Diaz in the survival thriller The Grey with Liam Neeson and as Sarge. He appeared with Jaimie Alexander in the romantic thriller film Collision in 2013 and appeared in a small role in Jason Statham's action film Homefront.
In the 2014 film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Grillo was cast as HYDRA agent Brock Rumlow. He appeared in The Purge: Anarchy's second year as Sergeant Leo Barnes, and he reprised his role in 2016's The Purge: Election Year.
