Franz Buchholz (born 19 February 1954 in Hannover, Germany) is a German bass guitarist best known as a former member of the Scorpions, a hard rock band from 1973 to 1992.
Personal life
Buchholz founded Rocksound, a German PA and stage lighting rental firm, in 1978. Buchholz began to make special exponential loudspeaker cabinets available in Buchholz's factory, but also for the Scorpions' roadies when not on tour. In the 1980s and 1990s, the business flourished.
Buchholz and his partner, Hella, live in Hannover, Germany, and they have a son and twin daughters.
Buchholz wrote the book Bass Magic in 1996, and he also worked as a musician and consultant.
