Cait Corrain, a writer who was rejected by her publisher after giving fake feedback to rival non-white authors, is 'terrified of being cancelled' as her book comes out

Since her book came out, a debut author who confessed to writing fake profiles to 'one star bomb' non-white writers has been banned from her publisher as a result of her fear of being published. Crown of Starlight, a'steamy, sci-fi reimagining' of the Greek myth of Ariadne and Dionysus, was scheduled to be published in May 2024 by Cait Corrain, a Cait Corrain-based in Los Angeles. Del Rey, her publisher in the United States, has since been denied by her editor, but she has now officially dropped her. Corrain also posted a tweet from January that she was "highly concerned about being killed for something silly" if her book came out.

Cait Corrain (left) in Los Angeles was supposed to unveil Crown of Starlight - a'steamy, sci-fi reimagining' of the Greek myth of Ariadne and Dionysus, the Greek myth of Ariadne and Dionysus. However, Xiran Jay Zhao (right), the best New York Times bestselling author of hit book Iron Widow, had '31 pages of receipts' in a Google doc earlier this week, exposing Cait's fake accounts dating back to April of this year. Xiran pointed out that the various profiles, who they suspect are all Cait, were giving Crown of Starlight positive reviews on the same niche pages, in a video explanation on their X account.
