Cooney didn't have many friends or was often the victim of bullying at school, causing her to change colleges and enroll in an online academy after her first year of high school. In 2013, she attended Connections Academy and graduated. Eugenia Cooney studied modeling in New York for a brief period of time. Since being asked to delete her online presence and feeling overwhelmed, Cooney decided to focus on her online work instead.
Cooney first launched her YouTube channel in 2011 while livestreaming on broadcasting service YouNow, later that year.
