On April 22 she allegedly broke into her stepmother's home in an attempt to retrieve her late father's belongings. Minnesota Sen. Majority Leader Erin Murphy announced that Mitchell 'will be relieved of her committee assignments and removed from caucus meetings.' Murphy called Mitchell's situation 'tragic' and revealed the case has been referred to the Senate Subcommittee on Ethical Conduct.

Minnesota Democrat Nicole Mitchell was hit with a restraining order after she made her first appearance in court after being arrested for allegedly breaking into the home of her stepmother in the early hours of Monday. Mitchell, 49, a veteran of both the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, said that she was trying to retrieve some items that belonged to her late father, Rod, shown right, who passed away in March 2023. The suspect goes on to accuse her stepmother of no longer speaking with her about her father's possessions. In a statement, Mitchell said that her stepmother is suffering with Alzheimer's disease.

A video of a Boston cop hurtling a child's slide before skidding facedown across the playground's turf has gone viral. The Boston Police Department reported on Tuesday that the officer was treated for minor injuries but that he did not miss work because he had sufficient health insurance and not missed work. Several viral clips, allegedly filmed by fellow officers, captured the moment the entirely uniformed cop came barreling down the slide in Boston's City Hall Plaza, which underwent significant upgrades in November.

The 58-year-old actress was invited to an impromptu Q&A with Aspen and Emmy Award-winning actress Carolyn Hennesy, who is best known for her long-serving role as Diane Miller in the soap opera GM. She performed a duet with Aspen of Bewitched's legendary theme song, written by Jack Keller and Howard Greenfield, on stage. Today Murphy, who is best known for her role as the magical daughter of a witch (Elizabeth Montgomery) and her mortal husband (Dick York, later replaced by Dick Sargent) in the ABC comedy, is one of only two living original actors from Bewitched, with the other being her twin sister Diane, who played Tabitha.
