Erika Scheimer Life

Erika Scheimer (born Erica Schiemer, April 24, 1960) is an American voice actress in the defunct Filmation animation series.

Lou Scheimer, a founding member of Filmation and a voice actor in his own right, is best known for her role on the original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon, where she provided additional female voices and occasional voice-acting for young boys (such as Prince Adam's cousin).

She is often mistaken for Jay Scheimer (Lou's wife) as the second voice for Queen Marlena, originally portrayed by Linda Gary. Erika Scheimer sang of Frosta, Queen Angella, Imp, Perfuma, Peekablue, Loo-Kee, and Flutterina.

In addition, Scheimer, as well as her father Lou, provided voices for Bill Cosby's Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids.

Scheimer said in an interview with Terrance Griep that she felt safe as a lesbian filmmaker: "I was a good female voice myself, and—guess what?—I was gay.

Does it make a difference? Does it make a difference? "I'll tell you one thing: Filmation was one of the city's gayest places."
