Eric Haase homered in both games of a doubleheader, driving in six runs, and the Detroit Tigers tagged Max Scherzer in his return from a suspension to sweeping the New York Mets with an 8-1 win on Wednesday night. In the first game of a 6-5 victory, Haase had five RBIs, including a go-ahead single in the eighth inning, followed by two home runs off Scherzer in the nightcap. Eight of ten Mets have lost eight of ten. They were playing their second doubleheader in three days after being rained out three times in the previous four days.
