Lainey Wilson took home the honors for Female Artist of the Year, Music Event of the Year and Entertainer of the Year at Thursday's Academy of Country Music Awards stemming from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Wilson said she's received strong support from the women within the country music industry in her acceptance speech.

Daisy Kent seems to be doing fine these days after Joey Graziadei rejected her on The Bachelor last month and got engaged instead to Kelsey Anderson. The blonde beauty was spotted having a great time at Stagecoach over the weekend. Eric Church has doubled down on his Stagecoach headlining set which was branded  'disappointing' by fans and left many festivalgoers to leave. The 46-year-old country megastar released a statement over the weekend in response to the criticism he received over his Friday headlining set which featured a heavy gospel influence at the festival attended by many celebrities. Eric drew the ire of many fans on social media as he played an acoustic set full of hymns and gospel covers. The musician sat on a stool the entire performance and was backed by a 16-person choir and did not have the flash and flare that his fellow headliners did.

Brit Turner, a Blackberry Smoke drummer, has died at the age of 57 after battling brain cancer. In late 2022, the musician, who was a founding member of the Atlanta-born club, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a rare form of brain cancer.

If I Was A Cowboy singer, 39, and the Hell Of A View singer, 46, who have both headlined the annual event in the past, will proudly share the stage with the If I Was A Cowboy songstress, 39, and the Hell Of A View singer, 46. The church is set to open night one of the festivities on Friday, April 26th to Sunday, April 28th, and will also be joined by other performers such as Jelly Roll, Elle King, and Hailey Whitters.

Lainey Wilson of Louisiana is having a good year as she tops the Country Music Association Awards nominations in her first year as a nominee, winning nods in six categories, including album of the year, female vocalist of the year, and song of the year. Wilson is the fourth artist in the CMAs to receive six nominations in her first year, after Glen Campbell, Brad Paisley, and Kacey Musgraves. She's also up for New Artist of the Year, music video, and musical performance. Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Chris Stapleton, Chris Stapleton, and writer-producer Shane McAnally are among the top candidates in five categories. The CMA Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, will be broadcast on ABC on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
