Élodie Ouédraogo (born in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode) is a retired Belgian sprinter who competed in the 200 meters and 400 meters m hurdles.

An Olympic gold medalist, achieving her personal record in the 200 m hurdles in July 2004, was 54.20, and she set a new personal record in the 400 m hurdles at the 2012 Summer Olympics in July. Oudraogo is also the third fastest Belgian woman after Kim Gevaert and Olivia Borlée, as well as equalling Nancy Callaerts who runs in 11.40.

After Gevaert, Borlée, and Hanna Marin, she places fourth among Belgium's women.

Ann Mercken's best time in the distance is her 400 meters hurdles tops her as the second fastest Belgian woman over the distance.

Athletic career

She worked on the 100 meter hurdles in Ouédraogo's early days and competed in the 2000 World Junior Championships. Burkina Faso, the country she represented before 2000, held a national record of 13.87 seconds. Her personal record for Belgium, which she set in August 2003 in Jambes, is 13.34 seconds. In 2007, Béatrice Kamboulé passed her Burkinabé national record.

Ouédraogo's teammates, Katleen De Caluwé, Lien Huyghebaert, and Kim Gevaert, who competed in the 4 x 100 meters relay at the 2004 Summer Olympics, came in fifth place. Ouédraogo has also received the bronze medal at the 2005 Summer Universiade. Olivia Borlée, Hanna Marin, and Kim Gevaert all won a bronze medal in the 4x100 m relay at the 2007 World Championships, tying for another national record.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Ouédraogo represented Belgium. She competed in the 4 x 100 m relay relay with Gevaert, Marin, and Borlée. They came first in first-round heat in front of Great Britain, Brazil, and Nigeria. They were the third time a team out of sixteen participating nations to run in 42.92 seconds. They finished second in second place behind Russia in a national record time of 42.54 seconds in the finals, but Yuliya Chermoshanskaya's tests revealed two illicit substances. The Russian team was disqualified for doping, but the Belgian team's silver medal was elevated to a gold medal.

At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she qualified for the semi-finals of the 400 meter hurdles.
