On June 26, the new additions to Hollywood's iconic were revealed, with singer-songwriter Otis Redding also being honoured posthumously. Boseman joins Tupac Shakur and Carrie Fisher, both of whom were also cast members after their deaths. According to People, Walk of Fame Chair Ellen K. said this year's actors were carefully selected by other former inductees from various industries into comedy. "The Committee did an outstanding job selecting these extremely talented individuals," she said. "We can't wait to see each honoree's reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood's history with the unveiling of their star on the world's most popular walkway."
