The video was posted on Twitter and has since been taken down, but not before people began accusing Ms Wood of'snobbery' for how she responded to working-class readers. Ms Wood told MailOnline that she regretted "the offence triggered by what was supposed to be a commemoration of reading." Ms Wood's reaction was 'patronizing' and'sickening,' according to one working-class writer.
