The insider has rated the forthcoming series as'republican fiction,' which is reported to have implied that Prince Philip was 'pursuing an affair' with Penny Knatchbull.' An acquaintance of the family, who has yet to watch the series air next month, told The Telegraph: "It is one thing for a script to be drivel, and another to be so cruel." I think they've shot themselves in the foot more than with this, but for the majority, it will simply pass them by.'

Gaby Wood (pictured right) was announcing the shortlist for the Booker Award 2022 at Serpentine Pavilion in London on Tuesday, when she laughed about the members of a book club in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, when she referred to the occupations of the members of a book club. The video was posted on Twitter and has since been taken down, but not before people began accusing Ms Wood of'snobbery' for how she responded to working-class readers. Ms Wood told MailOnline that she regretted "the offence triggered by what was supposed to be a commemoration of reading." Ms Wood's reaction was 'patronizing' and'sickening,' according to one working-class writer.
