Career
Maya worked with many other Romanian artists, such as Akcent and Vika Jika Jia. He also worked on the song Torner, which was also performed by Mihai Trăistariu in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. In an interview with Beat-Town.com, he said that this song "was the start of my career."
Maya's first album as an artist, "Stepo Love," debuted in the summer of 2009. In the Romanian singles charts, it ranks at No. 2 position. "Stepo Love" became a national hit in clubs later this year. Despite the fact that this success was matched by live concerts around the world, the album reached the top-five singles charts in Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
