Ed Maverick Life

Eduardo Hernández Saucedo (born January 19, 2001), also known as Ed Maverick, is a Mexican folk singer-songwriter.

He became popular mainly due to the posting of his songs on social media pages.

2001-2017: early years

Eduardo was born in Delicias, a Mexican state of Chihua, on January 19, 2001. He taught himself how to play the guitar. "Simple As This" was Jake Bugg's first song he learned to play. In mid-2017, he began writing in his hometown, as opposed to appearing at parties, festivals, and other public venues. Dromedarios Mágicos, Juan Cirerol, and Little Jesus are among the Mexican artists who inspired him to begin writing.

Mix pa' llorar en tu cuarto, Maverick's debut studio album on tu cuarto was released by the independent record label Eidan Box Records in 2018. After signing a deal with Universal Music Mexico and GST Talent in 2019, his second song written by himself was released on the album and became his first commercial hit, "Acurrucar" was released as the second single from the album.

Maverick had already established himself on Spotify by May 19, making him one of the most popular Mexican artists on Spotify. He appeared at "Lunario" and the Teatro Metropolitán in Mexico City for the first time this year, breaking the record for the Mexican artist who sold out his dates at the venue the fastest. Mix Pa' Llorar en Tu Cuarto's debut album in the same year garnered a gold award from Asociación Mexicana de Productores de Fonogramas y Videogramas (AMPROFON). Transiciones, his second studio album, was out in a flash (2019).

Maverick was largely destroyed by a massive fan and other internet hackers' attack on social media, with almost daily messages aimed specifically at him and his family. In November 2019, he posted a tweet announcing that he would delete his account and stay away from social media for a while.

"Mento," "Nio," and "Gracias" were two Maverick's third studio album titled Eduardo, in which the events of his childhood bullying experience were reflected in his album "Gente," "Nio," and "Gracias." The Rolling Stone magazine ranked it 26 among the best Spanish-language albums of 2021 at number 26. He collaborated with C. Tangana on the album "Párteme la cara"), which debuted on the Spanish market, landing at number 3 on the list of songs to watch in the country, as well as a gold record in Brazil. At the 22nd ceremony, this partnership credited him as an engineer and awarded him his first Latin Grammy for Best Engineering Album.

He received the First Mexican Artist Award (AGDI) in 2022 in Spain, being the first Mexican artist to be honoured at that ceremony. In April, he appeared at the Coachella music festival for the first time, and in May he released a collection of demos from Eduardo's album.

The Cartagena City Council named him "Break out artist of global music" at the Spanish festival "La Mar de Msicas" in July with the 2nd Paco Martn Award for "Breakout artist of global music," according to the jury's decision for Maverick. "He represents like no one else the new wave of singers whose popularity, simplicity, and naturalness. His voice, deep, melancholy, warm, and full of nuances, is one of the most unique on the international stage. As if he were singing to us a few meters away accompanied by his young guitar, he evokes emotion, compassion, and a pause from the first verse. He revealed his first world tour titled "Tour Eduardo" in October and the United States, as well as in European countries such as the United Kingdom, Spain, and the Netherlands, for the first time.
