HENRY CLARK AT PORTMAN ROAD: Sean Dyche believes there's more to come from Dwight McNeil despite the 24-year-old's impressive performances since moving from out wide into the No 10 role. McNeil has established himself as Everton's creator-in-chief and played a pivotal role in his side's 2-0 victory at Ipswich on Saturday afternoon. He set up Michael Keane for Everton's second after Iliman Ndiaye had given Dyche's men an early lead.

EVERTON 2-1 CRYSTAL PALACE - JOE BERNSTEIN AT GOODISON PARK: Dwight McNeil scored twice to earn Everton their first Premier League victory of the season after they'd trailed at half-time to Crystal Palace who remain winless. The feelgood factor at Goodison Park following encouraging news about a prospective takeover from American businessman Dan Friedkin was in danger of dissipating when the visitors went ahead through England defender Marc Guehi. But manager Sean Dyche's decision to replace Jesper Lindstrom for Jack Harrison paid dividends with the second of McNeil's quickfire goals strikes set up by the substitute.

TOM COLLOMOSSE AT VILLA PARK: A thunderbolt from Jhon Duran secured a thrilling come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Everton at Villa Park. The Toffees raced out to a surprise 2-0 lead via Dwight McNeil and Dominic Calvert-Lewin but were pegged back by an Ollie Watkins double. However, it was Duran who had the final say when he unleashed a 30-yard strike past Jordan Pickford in the 76th minute.

JOE BERNSTEIN AT GOODISON PARK: Everton were so excited by their first goal of the season against Doncaster there was a debate over who scored it, but the biggest cheer of the night was reserved for Iliman Ndiaye's clincher before Beto rounded off the scoring. After two heavy Premier League defeats, you could sense the relief at Goodison when they broke the resistance of League Two Rovers in the second half. After 53 minutes, young midfielder Tim Iroegbunam shot into the bottom corner from 18 yards but his delight at a first Everton goal was cut short when Dwight McNeil sheepishly raised his arm to take the credit.

James Tarkowski joked that Sean Dyche's new tracksuit had brought Everton 'a little bit of luck' for their game against Nottingham Forest. Dyche ditched his usual suit for new threads at the crucial relegation clash, and the Toffees won 2-0, in a match dogged by controversial calls which left the visitors fuming.  Speaking after the victory, centre-back Tarkowski spoke about the fashion choice from his Everton manager - whilst Dwight McNeil chuckled besides him. 

Gary Neville has criticised the 'horrendous statement' issued by Nottingham Forest following their 2-0 defeat by Everton. Forest were hugely frustrated with some of the decisions that went against them and claimed that VAR official Stuart Attwell is a Luton Town fan. Following the defeat to Everton, Forest remain 17th in the table, one place and one point ahead of Luton. Everton prevailed courtesy of goals from Idrissa Gueye and Dwight McNeil. 

Idrissa Gueye and Dwight McNeil helped Everton seal a 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park, which could have some serious implications in this season's relegation fight.  The victory, Everton's second in their last 16 matches, puts the hosts four points clear of Nottingham Forest at the bottom of the table, and five clear of Luton at the top rung of the drop zone.  It also came after Sean Dyche delivered an empassioned rant to his players this week, claiming that he would 'not be their fall guy'. 

Everton's Premier League game agaisnt Nottingham Forest was paused in injury time after Beto and Morgan Gibbs-White suffered a nasty accidental clash of heads.  The game was paused for over four minutes, with both players receiving treatment on the pitch.  More to follow... 

Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou has warned any proposal to introduce blue cards and sin bins will destroy football

After Everton's draw 2-2, Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou felt goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario deserved more respect from referee Michael Oliver. The Italian, who suffered with a similar problem last week in their FA Cup exit to Manchester City, did not have to contend with Dwight McNeil's inswinging corner under his own crossbar, which allowed Jack Harrison to equalize to 1-1. And although the Spurs manager was reluctant to criticize the officials, he believed there could have been more involvement as Spurs missed the opportunity to move forward with second-placed City.

Lyon is keen on Arnaut Danjuma, but Everton is hesitant to limit his loan from Villarreal because Dwight McNeil is injured. Danjuma's return to the Premier League for a second time after being restricted to a bit-part role with Tottenham after a January loan transfer in 2023. Since being unable to dislodge either McNeil or Jack Harrison as Sean Dyche's regular starters from wide positions, he has had more success at Goodison Park, scoring 17 times in all competitions so far this season.

Sean Dyche is hoping that Dwight McNeil avoided a serious injury after being carried on a stretcher late in Everton's draw against Crystal Palace. LEWIS STEELE AT SELHURST PARK: Crystal Palace and Everton clashed at 0-0 draw in the FA Cup on Thursday night, with neither Premier League squad able to summon the creativity or clinical touch to break the deadlock. Dominic Calvert-Lewin was in jail after a lengthy VAR check for a rash challenge on Nathaniel Clyne, but replays revealed that there was no contact between the two players. After an apparent ankle injury, Dwight McNeil was then forced to leave early in the game on a stretcher, bringing a total of nine minutes.

In an emotional New Year's Instagram post, Dwight McNeil's partner Megan Sharpley shared a post about her health problems. Sharpley shared a snapshot of herself in hospital and revealed that she had 'undergone emergency open surgery and lost an organ or two.' She also praised Everton's 24-year-old star for looking after her.

After a few sub-par seasons, and manager Dyche said fans are starting to'smell' that something good is happening at Goodison Park. We changed things in the summer to get a more connected squad and unit, as well as closer links with the fans,' he said.

CRAIG HOPE AT GOODISON PARK: Everton defeated Newcastle United 3-0 on Thursday, moving out of the Premier League relegation zone thanks to two Kieran Trippier mistakes to scoring late goals through Dwight McNeil, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Beto. It was a deserved victory for the Merseysiders over a depleted Newcastle, who have now lost five games this season, as well as five in the entire last season, and had a long injury list, leaving them with 12 players sidelined. McNeil robbed Trippier of the ball before unleashing a strong left-footed drive into the far corner of the net with 12 minutes remaining.
