In Vecna's Sinister Voice, Jamie Campbell Bower of "Stranger Things" quotes Lizzo Lyrics

Even when he isn't in character as the "Stranger Things" villain, Jamie Campbell Bower can vocally transform into Vecna with the flip of a switch. On "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Sunday, the English actor did exactly that, quoting a slew of famous movie quotes and song lyrics in Vecna's deep, sinister voice. Nevertheless, before the impromptu appearance, he gave viewers an insight into how the nightmare-fuel monster's distinctive manner of speech was perfected. Bower said, "It took a few months to get it right." "I was at the table with everyone, I sat behind Millie [Bobby Brown], and I was doing the speaking." It began in this very nasally region, much like Freddie Krueger's, but it wasn't landing. So I went home and did some research on 'Hellraiser' and Doug Bradley, in particular. "This deep, booming voice comes out of the shadow," it said. That sounds about right, considering the Upside Down's pitch. Bower said that his experience as a guitarist aided him in getting his voice to the low, gravelly pitch he was aiming for.
