Donald William "Don" Hasselbeck (born April 1, 1955) is a retired professional football player, coming to a close end in the National Football League for the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, and the New York Giants.

Early life

Hasselbeck, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, attended La Salle High School, where he was an all-city pick in both football and basketball. He played college football in Colorado, where he majored in Fine Arts. He is currently ranked thirty-sixth on the all-time receptions list at CU.

Don Hasselbeck Career

Professional career

In the second round of the 1977 NFL Draft, Hasselbeck was selected by the New England Patriots, where he played for the first six seasons of his nine-year career. In Super Bowl XVIII, Hasselbeck blocked an extra point try by Washington after being traded to the Los Angeles Raiders early in the 1983 season; in Super Bowl XVIII, he blocked an extra point attempt by Washington. In 1984 and 1985, he played for the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants, scoring the Giants' final touchdown of the season in a 17–3 victory over the defending Super Bowl champion San Francisco 49ers.
