Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, and a group of bipartisan lawmakers announced Thursday that they and a coalition of legislators are attempting to demand a floor vote on funds for Israel and Ukraine as Speaker Mike Johnson refuses to specify what the path forward is on foreign aid. Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., joined by a select group of moderate Republicans and Democrats next week, will receive signatures on a discharge petition, which will trigger a floor vote if a majority in the House votes goes on. Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan receive $66 billion in defense-only aid, as well as new border security measures that will last a year.
