Dominic Simon "Dom" Wood (born 3 January 1978 in Exeter, Devon) is an English entertainer, magician, and television presenter, best known as one half of the double act Dick and Dom, with the other being Richard McCourt.

McCourt is also the godfather of Wood's two sons, Tommy and Sam.

He and work partner McCourt appeared on BBC Radio 1 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Sunday morning, but later cancelled due to TV commitments.

Wood was one of the youngest members of the magician's society The Magic Circle was at one point. He was nevertheless dismissed in the face of widespread disapproving of Dick & Dom in Bungalow, where he would occasionally perform and give away tricks, despite him arguing that other entertainers and magicians had effectively done the same thing publicly before with no blowback.

Television career

Wood first appeared on television in 1996 on CBBC's children's show Friday Zone. However, this was long before, as a member of the public on Exeter's Quayside, appearing on children's television program Gimmie 5. He stayed on the CBBC Broom Cupboard until 1998.

He appeared on the first television game show Jungle Run from 1999 to 2000.

He is now best known as half of the double act Dick and Dom, alongside Richard McCourt ("Dick"). Dick & Dom in da Bungalow ran from 2002 to 2006, and received two BAFTA awards for Best Presenters and Best Children's Entertainment in 2004. Wood set the world record for the most pants put on in a minute on this show in 2004. The pair also appeared in the 2-series TV series Bring It On from 2000 to 2002.

Wood co-presented the UK pop science show Brainiac's Test Tube Baby, a spin-off of Brainiac: Science Abuse, with Jon Tickle.

He has also co-hosted the BBC Three coverage of the 2007 series of Comic Relief Does Fame Academy.

Wood appeared in the live-action 3D family comedy Horrid Henry: The Movie starred Richard McCourt as the titular character's ardent cousin-in-law Pimply Paul. On the 29th of July 2011, the film was released.

Wood wrote and appeared in The Legend of Dick and Dom, a CBBC show in which Dick and Dom play two young princes on a quest for the cure after Dick dropped the cure to a deadly plague that plagued Fyredor in 2010. Mannitol (Steve Furst), a genie who is terrible at doing magic, and Lutin (Chloe Bale) are among the all-star cast members, as well as Mannitol (Chloe Bale).

Dick and Dom are the embodiment of absolute Genius, which began in 2013. Dick and Dom received the second series of the BAFTA Award for 2014.
