How did this happen? How did I wind up so unpopular? I strolled into germancomiccon like a G; getting all the love. Lotta people showed up just for me! So nice. I saw some great cosplay, did some action shots with fans, went to my first German Christmas market, reconnected with old friends (they are mostly famous people…just saying) and made some amazing friends (😘😘😘). But mostly, I laughed my ass off and had a great time…but then something changed. Around photo 7. If only I could put my finger on it. Anyway, chelseyreist showed up at the airport. She’s on my flight to London and we will share our layover. Score! I was stoked but then I had a really hard time getting my bag checked. Like really hard. Then a security guy at Düsseldorf airport yelled at us and a sample sized contact solution nearly caused an international incident. Ok, a bit of bad luck, who cares? “Hey Chelsea, let’s hit the bar!” It was so fun. We had the best cheese pretzel we’d ever had (and the booze wasn’t bad, either). But the mood went south again. I’m getting some hard looks. Now we get to the last photo. How did I wind up the 12th most despised man in Europe on Dec 6th? Are their clues in photos 7, 8 and 9? Hmmm, If only I could put my finger on it. Anyway, thank you Germany and germancomiccon! We had a blast with you. I’m laying here right now warm in my bed and looking at all the memories. Until we meet again… PS photo 6 is a lifetime favorite. rickywhittle I love laughing with you. As for the rest of you 4 tagged here, you know how I feel about you. You are missed already. American masters of the past, present and future. My dear friend ponylawson is a genius tattoo artist who can also paint and draw like a mf. I saw this little canvas he painted five years ago and from that moment, I wanted it. (You should see the tattoo version he did. It’s on his feed). He also knows how much I like kaws and can never get in on releases, so you can imagine my joy (can’t lie. I think I skipped around) when I came home from filming late the other night and this combo was on my kitchen island. Thank you, Pony. I love them and they will always be in my collection. Everyone encourage Mr Pony Lawson to keep painting and drawing. It’s a special thing to be able to do work like this (you should also see the photo realistic drawings of everyday objects. MAN!) and I know it makes him happy when his work stokes people, even though he’s shy to admit it. Get to work, fool. Stoke some people. Let’s have an art show. And come back to visit soon. I’m back to work! These past 9 months of filming shutdown have been hard. I’ve felt isolated and, at times, like a man without a purpose. Being here right now feels pretty damn good. You can’t see it, but I’m big smiling underneath that mask. You also can’t see that I’m wearing underwear, long underwear, two pairs of socks, a thermal shirt, T-shirt, a flannel and a hoodie underneath that coat. I arrived in Montana in the dark of night and woke up bleary eyed to all this beauty. The accommodations aren’t so bad, either. Giant copper bath tub ? ✔️ Fireplace with The Great British Baking Show playing above? ✔️ ✔️. Thanks katebosworth for including me on this adventure.
