Diallo Riddle (born May 6, 1977) is an American writer, producer, actor, showrunner, and DJ. He received an Emmy Award for his role on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, co-starred on NBC's Marlon, and has appeared in several different television shows.
Early life
Riddle was born in Atlanta, Georgia, as the sixth child of American painter and sculptor John Riddle Jr. and Carmen Riddle. He attended Benjamin Elijah Mays High School and later graduated from Harvard University with a major in History.
Career
Riddle and his writing partner Bashir Salahuddin formed Cleo's Apartment after attending Harvard University. Robin Thede, Thomas Fraser, Wyatt Cenac, Nika King, and Nefetari Spencer were among the group's leaders. The company's stage performance was turned into a web series The Message by AOL and HBO, which premiered in 2007.
Riddle and his creative partner Bashir Salahuddin have collaborated on numerous projects over the years with J30 Studios, the production company. Both creators and producers of television shows have a multi-year contract with Warner Bros TV to produce and produce TV shows. On September 4, 2019, Comedy Central and WBEZ Chicago launched South Side Stories, a groundbreaking podcast partnership between a public media company and a cable television partner that honors the true lives and places of people and places that inspired the hit scripted comedy series.
