Sammy Watkins has been welcomed back to the Baltimore Ravens to help a receiver core that has been plagued by injuries. Devin Duvernay's starting receiver was on injured reserve after suffering an injury at Tuesday's practice, and the Ravens made a matching move. In nine games with Aaron Rodgers & Co, the Watkins, 29, was suspended by the Green Bay Packers on Monday after 13 receptions and 206 yards. Following the trade of two-time All-Pro wideout Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Bears in the offseason, the Packers (5-8) signed the Watkins in the offseason as they attempted to restock at the receiver position. The No. 1 in Watkins is the No. 2. Matt LaFleur, the team's offensive coordinator, had been ranked No. 4 overall in the 2014 draft and had played for the Los Angeles Rams in 2017.
