Billy Eichner, Variety's current front page actor, has defended his decision to have an all-queer cast even for straight roles in his gay rom com Bros. The decision came out of a 43-year-old's dissatisfaction with the number of meaty film roles, including gay ones that had gone to straight actors in the past. 'It's not about saying that a straight actor should never play gay,' he told Variety. We still need a more equal playing field,' but we do need a more balanced playing field.' It's about repairing a very bad situation.'
