Leonard Rossiter, a fellow actor, dated her for three years before divorced in 1961. 'Len was always going off with other women and being uncaring,' Tewson said of their brief time together.' Debbie Arnold, a former EastEnders actress, expressed sorrow for her loss: "We're so sad we lost two amazing people, firstly Bruce Montague and then two days later - Josephine Tewson.'
