As the American actor wowed the crowd at Worthy Farm, Somerset on Saturday night, FEMAIL reveals how the beloved actor, 62, has battled Parkinson's in private and in public since 1991. Fox shot to fame in the 1980s after starring as Marty McFly in Back to the Future (left) and went on to become one of Hollywood's hottest heartthrobs. However, he has revealed his diagnosis at just 29 years old caused him to turn to drink in early years, much to the concern of his wife Tracey (inset left). Since going public with his diagnosis in 1998 the actor has dedicated his life to fundraising and raising awareness of Parkinson's and made an Apple TV+ documentary about his health battle last year (centre). Earlier this year the actor received a standing ovation as he took to the stage at Royal Festival Hall (right) for the BAFTAs, where his documentary was nominated for an award.

In 2023, the actor debuted an Apple TV+ documentary about his film life and his subsequent illness, earning him a BAFTA nomination. Michael said on BBC in light of the documentary's nomination: "I would say it's a gift and people will look at me and I'd say it's a gift that keeps on giving, but it's a gift." Michael has been praised for his tireless fundraising in the hopes of finding a cure for the devastating disease. Michael J. Johnson created The Michael J.
