During a tour through the Florida Everglades, an airboat turned over, launching all ten people on board into the alligator-infested waters below. On Friday afternoon, a group from Coopertown Airboats was heading through the Everglades National Park when the boat operator noticed an alligator nearby. He abruptly turned the boat onto its side and everyone into the muddy water in order to give tourists a closer glance. All passengers had climbed out of the water by the time fire rescues arrived. One individual was treated for injuries on the scene and did not require hospitalization. The boat operator had been arrested to prison, according to a statement by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
