A stone castle for sale just one hour away from New York City needs love and a complete makeover from its next owner, who is planning to buy their forever home. The home was built by Abercrombie and Fitch (A&F) founder David T. Abercrombie in 1927 and inspired by his wife, Lucy Abbott Cate. After the retail store founder's four children, Abercrombie's family eventually named their once livable castle ELDA: Elizabeth, Lucy, David, and Abbott. The 'uninhabitable' home is located in Ossining, according to Sotheby's International Realty, but realtor.com states that it is actually located in New Castle.
