David K. Myers (born August 8, 1959 in York, Pennsylvania, United States) is an American professional baseball scout and a former mentor, minor league shortstop, and manager. Myers, a retired Seattle Mariners defender, was the third-base coach from 2001 to 2004, and threw and batted right-handed. * He graduated from William Penn High School in York, where he was a two-sport standout in baseball and basketball. Myers went to Temple University to further his education, where he served for Temple coach Skip Wilson. Doug Kepple and former consultants H.J. Lopes, Billy Mendek, and Pete Filson. He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 27th round of the 1980 Major League Baseball Draft, but did not sign. Myers was named the Temple Owls' Most Valuable Player during his redshirt junior season in 1981. In the 1981 MLB Draft (312th overall) and eight seasons of minor league baseball in the Seattle system, including four years at the Double-A level, he was selected by the Mariners in the 13th round (312th overall) and spent eight seasons in the Seattle system, including four years at the Double-A level. Myers was in charge of Mariners' farm clubs from 1989 to 2000, the last five years as skipper of the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers of the Pacific Coast League, before returning to Lou Piniella's Major League staff for the 2001 season. * Seattle won an American League record 116 games in his first campaign as the M's third-base coach. After leaving the Mariners and spending 2010–15 as a coach for the Durham Bulls, the Tampa Bay Rays' Triple-A International League affiliate. * In 2016, he became a member of the Rays' technical scouting team, based in Seattle.
