Elie Taktouk (left) was sentenced to seven years in prison for seven years for dishonesty in 2021, but now faces losing millions of pounds as a result of a probe into his assets. Daniella Semaan, a 49-year-old married Lebanese model, was born in 1998 but died 13 years later after she swapped him for former Premier League footballer Cesc Fabregas. Since failing to prevent the sale of the flat to the footballer at the Court of Appeal, Taktouk lost his former family home in Belgravia to Miss Semaan, 47, and Fabregas. Tycoon's divorce with a £2.5 million fraud case could lose more than £3 million

A property tycoon who paid for his divorce by defrauding investors after his wife left him for a footballer could now lose more than $3 million in assets. Elie Taktouk, 49, (top right) married Lebanese model Daniella Semaan (bottom right) in 1998 before she left him for ex-Premier League star Cesc Fabregas (left) 13 years later. The multimillionaire was later found guilty of investing £2.5 million to finance his own indulgences and pay for his divorce. Taktouk used funds planned to pay for upgrades to a Knightsbridge house to instead pay for shopping sprees in Harrods, a £21,000 a month property in Kensington, and £200,000 in legal fees. Prosecutors are now investigating the source of Taktouk's income when attempting to confiscate £3.2 million from the businessman under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
