Daniel Dwight Tosh (born May 29, 1975) is an American comedian, television presenter, author, and executive producer.
He is best known for his deliberately offensive and divisive style of black comedy as the host of Comedy Central's Tosh.0 as well as actor of stand-up comedy tours and specials.
Early life
Tosh, a boy of a Presbyterian minister who was born in Boppard, Rhineland-Palatinate, West Germany, grew up in Titusville, Florida. Tosh earned a degree in marketing after graduating from Astronaut High School in 1993.
He was a telemarketer at Central Florida Research Park, one of his first jobs.He said later,
Tosh moved to Los Angeles, but attributed his interest in comedy to growing up in Florida, which he describes as "flat, hot, and dumb."
Personal life
Tosh has one brother and two sisters. Tosh has voiced apprehensions over social anxiety and that he has disapproved public speaking. On April 15, 2016, he married writer Carly Hallam at a private party in Malibu, California.

Career
Right after graduating from college, Tosh began touring the comedy club circuit right away. At the 1998 Just for Laughs in Montreal, he appeared as one of the "New Faces" of the Just for Laughs. In 2000 at the Théâtre Saint-Denis in Montreal, his performance was televised.
Tosh's career began in 2001 with a appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman.
