The troubling videos were released during the BLM's launch of the East Pershing Wild Horse Gathering on December 28. The department intends to 'prevent undue or unnecessary degradation' from public lands and reclaim a flourishing natural ecological balance and multi-use relationships.' However, advocates claim that the government is simply acting in the interests of cattle ranchers, and that the corporation contracted to round up the horses has been accused of cruelty.
