Early life
Key was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 9, 1996. Steven and Anne Key, his parents, are married, and Devan Key, his younger brother, who he regularly collaborates with on his YouTube channel, is a member of the Devan Keys. He was accepted into the exclusive Junior Program at the Hollywood Famous Magic Castle at age 13, after doing magic for nine months.
Career
Collins was discovered on YouTube by the makers of America's Got Talent and invited to appear on their eighth season as he was 16 years old. Key was the first magician to make the finals of the competition. He is often described as "Magic's First Pop Star" in the media. He toured around the country in 2013 with America's Got Talent, visiting 36 cities in six weeks.
Collins appeared on Demi Lovato's Neon Lights tour in 2014, opening for the singer with other bands such as Fifth Harmony, Little Mix, and Cher Lloyd. Collins performed magic each night. In addition,, he was invited to attend the 2014 Teen Choice Awards alongside Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, and Kylie Jenner.
