She landed on the possibility of an old-school "screen siren," fantasizing classic Hollywood glamour, as well as old Hitchcock films to see how the characters performed themselves. Christie said, "this was the first thing that came to me," Christie said. "Even more curiously, Tim had exactly the same idea, and Colleen Atwood had the same idea."

Edward Scissorhands created a topiary dinosaur with his naked hands.
