THE NOTEBOOK: Aston Villa picked up a huge point in their pursuit of Champions League qualification, in Jurgen Klopp's final away game in charge of Liverpool. The Reds looked on course for all three points at Villa Park after an own-goal from Emiliano Martinez was followed by goals for Cody Gakpo and Jarrell Quansah.  However, a late Jhon Duran double salvaged a point in a Hollywood ending for Villa - in front of celebrity fan Tom Hanks. 

LEWIS STEELE AT VILLA PARK: Aston Villa missed the chance to secure their place in next season's Champions League as drew 3-3 with Liverpool at Villa Park. The game got off to the worst possible start for the hosts as Emiliano Martinez put the ball into his own net but they hit back quickly through Youri Tielemans. Cody Gakpo restored Liverpool's lead before Jarell Quansah doubled it with a brilliant header after the break.

A shocking mistake from Emiliano Martinez saw Aston Villa make the worst possible start in Monday's huge Premier League clash with Liverpool at villa Park. Villa came into the game knowing a win would secure their place in next season's Champions League. However, the raucous crowd were quickly silenced as Martinez spilled Harvey Elliot's tame cross into his own net in the second minute.

Liverpool talisman Salah headed home his 18th league goal of the season in the 16th minute before Robertson doubled their lead with a tap-in just before halftime. Gakpo headed in Elliott's cross in the 50th, then the midfielder bagged his own with a rocket from 20 yards out that curled into the top corner.

JOE BERNSTEIN AT ANFIELD: Mo Salah returned with a goal and assist before Liverpool held off an unexpected Tottenham comeback in Jurgen Klopp's penultimate game at Anfield.
