Three men were sentenced to life in prison for murdering rapper XXTentacion, who was shot dead in 2018. In June 2018, the 20-year-old rapper, real name Jahseh Onfroy, was assaulted by Michael Boatwright, 28, Dedrick Williams, 26, and Trayvon Newsome, 24, as robbed of $50,000.

During the attack in June 2018, Jahseh Onfroy, 28, Dedrick Williams, 26, and Trayvon Newsome 24, 26, were wounded. After a week of deliberations by the jury, the three suspects were found guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery. Each stood and was handcuffed by a bailiff, and they would all face mandatory life terms at a later date. Prosecutors pinned the three men to the murder using extensive surveillance footage taken inside and out of the store, as well as some that showed them flashing fistfuls of $100 bills only hours after the slaying.
