Comedian Romesh, 46, took on the Saturday morning slot from Strictly Come Dancing and Traitors presenter Claudia, who left the station last month. Former host Claudia, 52, who spent 15 years on air for BBC Radio 2, struggled to fight back tears as she wrapped up her final show at the end of March.

Garry Richardson, a presenter for BBC Radio 4's Today programme, has departed after 43 years with his last show on September 9 - exactly 50 years since the corporation was established. Since his departure was announced, the news reporter, 68, who is known to millions as he reads headlines from around the world, released an emotional remark. "I have had the most wonderful time working for the BBC alongside my heroes from sport and showbusiness," says the author.

Dan Baldwin, the show's original date show Blind Date, has returned 39 years since its first episode.
