Christian Jensen Life

Christian Jensen (14 April 1823-to-September 1884) was a Norwegian politician. From 1859 to 1869, he served as County Governor of Kristians Amt (Oppland).

He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1862, 1865, and 1868 while stationed here.

He served as a deputy representative from 1874-1877, and re-elected for a final term in 1877 after a hiatus.

He was then burgomaster in Kristiania. He was then admitted to the executive branch of the department.

He was first appointed Minister of Auditing on October 13, 1879.

He was also named Minister of Justice and the Police on December 1st, 1880.

He resigned as Minister of Auditing on December 21.

He was then a member of the Council of State Division in Stockholm from September 1881 to 1882.

He was proclaimed Minister of the Interior the day after.

He resigned from this position a year ago to serve as Minister of Justice and the Police for the second time.

On March 25, 1884, he finally left the government.
