Boone came out to defend a catcher's call for Kyle Higashioka before being sent to the showers in the bottom of the fifth innings. Following a call earlier in the game, Boone and the Yankees were already angry with Homeplate umpire Vic Carapazza, who was afraid of a pop up landing on the screen behind home plate before being caught by Christian Bethancourt.
