The Birch Hotel in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, attempted to entice wealthy creatives living in London by offering a 'festival' atmosphere, pottery workshops, and sourdough baking sessions. It was described as a cross between Soho Farmhouse and a creative arts festival, which is located on 55 acres and just 30 minutes from London, using a private members' model. It was opened during the pandemic and quickly became an award-winning hotel. Jodie Clark O'Rourke, 32, (right), who supervised childcare facilities (pictured left) and corporate packages for both hotels, has come forward, claiming that she is one of many vendors owes hundreds of thousands of pounds to the hotel group's management company.

The Birch Hotel in Hertfordshire emerged during the pandemic in 2020 to acclaim. It was described as a cross between the members' sole club Soho Farmhouse and a contemporary arts festival held in 55 acres and just 30 minutes from London. When the former conference hotel's owners, Chris Penn and Chris King, purchased the former conference hotel in 2018, they spent £8.5 million over two years on improvements. While repurposing existing content from the site, which was originally built in 1763 and is now a Grade II-listed building, the aesthetic was chic and modern.

A rep for the actor revealed on Sunday that Eileen Ryan died in Malibu on Sunday at her home. The legendary actress was mother to actor Sean Penn, 62, musician Michael Penn, 64, and late actor Chris Penn, who died in 2006 at the age of 40. Ryan was married to actor Leo Penn from 1957 to his death in 1998.
