The Olympic silver medalist suffered his first appearance as a professional at the Copper Box Arena, with the match being called off in the sixth round after the ringside doctor had to watch swelling of his right eye. Joyce was admitted to hospital as a precaution following the loss, but he was released in the early hours after doctors determined he had not sustained any facial fractures, according to Daily Star reporter Chris McKenna on Twitter.
