GB Group (GBG), a little-known software company, became the latest target, announcing that it is considering a cash offer from Chicago-based buyout company GTCR. No price was disclosed, but the Chester-based business was worth £1.32 billion after the stock soared 24%, or 125p, to 647p on the bid news. GBG was established in 1989 and has been listed on London's junior market AIM market since 2011.
