Chloe Bailey Career

Career

Chloe Bailey was born in Mableton, Georgia, with her older brother Branson Bailey, and her sister Halle Bailey, and later moved to Los Angeles in mid-2012. She appeared in films, including The Battle Temptations (2004), starring Beyoncé, and Disney's Let It Shine (2012) while in Georgia. At the age of ten and eight, their father started showing them how to write songs. They formed a YouTube channel at the ages of 13 and 11 respectively, with a banner of Beyoncé's "Best Thing I Never Had" on the front page. When uploading pop songs as Chloe x Halle first appeared on this website, they first appeared as Chloe x Halle. On April 2012, the pair made their talk show debuts on The Ellen Show. In September 2013, she made a cameo appearance in the Disney series Austin & Ally's "Unstoppable" album, which was released on the Disney channel.

Bailey appeared on the TV show Grown-ish in 2018 as Jazlyn "Jazz" Forster after having sung the series's theme song "Grown." In the series premiere, the song "The Kids Are Alright" was also included. When her character came out of college, she departed the series at the end of the fourth season.

Bailey joined the cast of M. A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller's horror film The Georgetown Project in November 2019. Madelaine Petsch will appear alongside her in Jane, a 2022 psychological drama film.

Bailey's debut solo single, "Have Mercy," was released in August 2021 as the lead single off her forthcoming debut solo studio album. She had teased the Murda Beatz-produced album a few times before. She claimed that the album was "90% finished" and that it is more pop-oriented. Bailey performed "Have Mercy" at the main show of the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12, 2018. Bailey was nominated in three categories, including Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Soul/R&B Song for "Have Mercy" at the 53rd NAACP Image Awards.

Bailey co-starred alongside Kesha and Mason Gooding in Electric Easy, a scripted science fiction film set in a futuristic Los Angeles in which humans wrestle with robots, also known as "electrics." Vanya Asher created the show and Kesha produced it. On August 30, 2021, the podcast debuted.

Bailey released "Treat Me" with accompanying music video in April 2022 as the second solo single from her forthcoming album. "It's time for me to just give myself the love I'm looking for," she said after a breakup.

Chloe Bailey endorses Kamala Harris for president as she shares significance of being able to 'vote for another woman of colour' - after she was named Glamour's Musician Of The Year

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 2, 2024
The 26-year-old singer won the coveted Musician of The Year gong at Glamour's Women Of The Year Awards in London on Tuesday. 'There was a time when people who looked like me didn't have the opportunity to vote,' Chloe said in an interview with Glamour UK on Wednesday. 'I'm a Black woman in 2024 who can make my voice heard - who can actually vote for another woman of colour to possibly be president. For this generation, no matter which way they go, it is important to place our vote and let our voices be heard.'

I went to the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards and this is what the A-listers REALLY get up to when the cameras stop rolling

The Glamour Women Of The Year Awards are one of the glitziest bashes of the year and so I was delighted when an invite dropped into my inbox this year.  As MailOnline's Acting Showbiz Editor, I finished work and quickly got changed in the toilets before hopping into a cab to the incredible Raffles OWO in London's Whitehall where the event was being held.  When I arrived, the stars were filtering down the rain sodden red carpet which squelched under foot and Hollywood star Chloe Bailey was having to lift up her dress so she didn't get in wet. Welcome to London, Chloe!
