Ballboy Charlie Morgan who was kicked by Eden Hazard is on Sunday Times Rich List

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 24, 2022
During an ill-tempered Capital One Cup semi-final clash against Swansea in 2013, Charlie Morgan (pictured right with his business partner) was thrust into the midst of a football storm when he was kicked by then Chelsea winger Eden Hazard (pictured left). Morgan, a 17-year-old ball boy at Swansea's stadium, appeared to delay handing over the ball after it had gone out of play for a goal kick. Hazard, a Belgian player who now plays for Real Madrid, and then attempted to kick it from under him, collapsed to the ground as Hazard tried to retrieve the ball from him. Rather, he appeared to make contact with the ballboy's midriff and was given a straight red card by referee Chris Foy. Hazards were suspended for three games as a result of the tragedy. The incident was also investigated by police, who later decided not to take no further action. Morgan's life has taken a new twist in recent years, nearly ten years since the incident. He is now a young entrepreneur, who has been voted on this year's Sunday Times Rich List thanks to his £40 million interest in a vodka empire. The pair, alongside school friend Jackson Quinn, 29, operate Au Vodka, a luxury vodka brand that the pair formed together in 2016. Morgan's meteoric rise is, on the other hand, is not a rags to riches tale.
