Cathy DeBuono is an American actress and practicing psychotherapist.
DeBuono was born in Yonkers, New York, on March 20, 1970, and raised in Bronxville. DeBuono played volleyball from 1988 to 1991 while attending University of Kentucky.
DeBuono, a volleyball player, received numerous awards and accolades, including consecutive gold medals at the U.S. Olympic Festival in 1990 and 1991. DeBuono stayed on acting after a knee injury ended her high-level athletic career.
When DeBuono was a student at the University of Kentucky, she appeared in a stage play directed by alumni student Ashley Judd.
